I started showing goats at the age of 5. I helped my sister, Larin and my first goat was an ALPINE! named, Reese. We raise La Manchas, now.
I've learned by doing. I can sweep anything for hours. All I tried to accomplish is that every year I was better at fair than the one before. At the end, my last year, I was really tired. My mom took my picture on Sunday, sad /happy? I'm going back with the Junior Fair Board this year without an animal, weird, but fun!
I think summer isn't complete if I'd miss the fair. I've been there every year of my life. My nick - name when I was little was "bug eater" I'm not sure if I actually ate a bug or not. One thing I've learned is that fair is not,"FAIR." Judges have their own opinions and I've won and lost a lot, no one remembers who the champion was by the time school starts. It's all new and a fresh start, all over. Once a person gets to that point of understanding, then fair becomes absolutely the best! And, I don't mean the carnival rides. Actually, I can ride everything at the fair and not get sick. Plus side ... I can do Disneyland ... Magic Mountain ... and Knott's Berry Farm. I love the fair. The music on the Ventura County Fair Internet site is so fun you can almost smell the corn dogs.
